PADI master scuba diver trainer #56852

Kathy became a certified diver in 1991 and quickly fell in love. She became a PADI Divemaster and continued working with MDS.

Married to Brian, an Army officer, she traveled and taught in different areas, including the North Chicago suburbs where she worked and taught in Lake Michigan and was able to dive almost daily when there was no ice.

They then moved to Northern Virginia where she continued teaching and diving locally and along the Atlantic coast.

When Kathy and Brian returned to Illinois she began teaching in the Champaign Store with Steve Smith, and now teaches in Normal.

Kathy loves teaching and enjoys the challenge of someone who has fears and difficulty getting comfortable in the water. She also enjoys teaching and working with children. Her husband and young daughters all enjoy diving together. While everyone enjoys the tropical warm water of the ocean Kathy also enjoys the local diving as well as diving in the Great Lakes.

Kathy will dive year round and is qualified to teach drysuit diving and ice diving specialties as well as many other PADI specialties not involving cold water.

When she is not diving Kathy owns and operates and an ultrasound company in Springfield, and along with her husband Brian, the A.L. Express train ride in their local mall. Clearly they love kids.
